Planning a surprise milestone anniversary party for your parents, complete with "their song" being performed after the toasts and tributes? An 80th birthday party for a favorite relative with music from their favorite Big Bands? How about a Christmas get-together, complete with a sing-along around the piano? And there's always a cocktail party for no particular reason other than spending time with friends! Carolyn's music creates the perfect atmosphere for your guests to truly enjoy themselves.
Carolyn will work with you to come up with just the right music - conversation-friendly solo piano playing quiet ballads in the background, or perhaps piano with vocals for a livelier sound -- to enhance your event. And if a "bigger" sound is desired, a duo or trio (piano or piano/vocal with violin, string bass, drums, etc.) is always an option. Carolyn collaborates regularly with the finest musicians in the region and can create just the right ensemble for your event.
Special requests for favorite songs are always welcome. Carolyn maintains an extensive library of music in a wide variety of styles from Broadway and jazz standards to easy listening and soft rock, and custom arrangements - including personalizing well-known songs with lyrics written especially for the occasion -- can be developed for an additional fee.
If your venue does not provide a piano, Carolyn's portable digital piano and professional sound system are available for a nominal cartage fee.
